Costs

We are devoted to maintaining a balance concerning the financial disposition of surrogacy.  We want the journey of Surrogacy to be as financially reasonable as possible for the Intended Parents as well as making certain that our Surrogates feel cherished.

There are many components that determine the overall cost of a Surrogacy.  The figures given by the Greatest Gift Surrogacy Center NW are approximations only and can deviate depending on the details of each case.  Each case may cost more or less than the estimates given.

Base Cost Approximations:

Due upon signature of Surrogacy Service Agreement: $3,000
Due upon signing of Surrogacy Contract: $3,000
Due the day before embryo transfer: $3,000
Total GGSCNW Agency Fee: $9,000

GGSCNW’s fee includes reviewing all surrogate applications; as well as facilitating all meetings,  serving as an escrow to manage the finances between the Surrogate and the Intended Parents and maintaining regular communication with and between all parties.

Surrogate Expenses:

Surrogate’s Fee: $23,000 First time Surrogate
$25,000 Second time Surrogate
$28,000+ Third time Surrogate
Maternity Clothing: $500 Singleton
$700 Multiple
Monthly Allowance: $100 For approx. 12 months
Housekeeping: $50 Per week starting in the third trimester
Total Estimated Deposit: $25,300-$30,500

After the Surrogacy contract is signed these funds are required to be deposited for Surrogates expenses.  You will receive copies of all payments as well as a detailed explanation.  Any payments requiring reimbursement that are not covered in the Surrogacy contract will be brought to the attention of the Intended Parents for approval before payment is made.  Additional expenses may occur and an additional deposit may be required.

IVF Cycle & Medication**: $10,000-$22,000

Life Insurance is a set premium; Surrogate receives a $250,000 policy and the Intended Parents receive a $100,000 policy.  IVF cycle and medication costs can vary excessively, depending on the clinic and if the Intended Parents are needing an egg/sperm donor ect.  Legal Fees represent the IPs and the Surrogate and they also include the court process and costs in the State of Oregon.  Counseling for the Surrogate is not an option with our agency, the Surrogate is required to participate on a monthly basis.

Possible Additional Costs:

Additional Fees For Multiples: $3,500 Per additional child
Cesarean Section: $1,500
Loss Of Uterus: $3,000
Invasive Procedures: $500
Medical Insurance*: $Varies
Lost Wages**: $Varies
Additional Housekeeping**: $50 Per Week

*This will only apply if the Surrogate does not have insurance.

**These will only apply if the Surrogate’s Obstetrician orders her to be on bed-rest or reduced activity or if the Surrogate is required to travel more than 200 miles round trip for screening, match meeting, medical appointments or embryo transfer.  Under travel,  the Intended Parents will cover the costs for mileage, airfare, hotel and meals; lost wages will only apply for Embryo Transfer or Bed Rest/Restriction of Activity.

The possible added costs vary by case.  Please keep in mind that they are an approximation.
